With over 20 years of experience, Attorney Linda M. Scaparotti boldly stands at the forefront of advancing civil suits for children and adults who have experienced exploitation by therapists, doctors, priests, teachers, and employers. Scaparotti has made it her mission to right human wrongs.

Scaparotti’s strong advocacy and legal expertise lead to her success in a wide variety of cases which are generally referred to as “traumatic torts.” These include therapy malpractice, employment discrimination, sexual harassment/abuse, severe psychological injury, bodily injury, head injury, and brain injury. Scaparotti is also well known for her finely crafted wills, trusts, and estate planning documents, in addition to being a pioneer in the field of “alternative family law,” in which she works toward legally securing the place of children in same-sex families.

Linda M. Scaparotti founded Counselors and Advocates for Survivors of Sexual Abuse (CASSA) and serves as Commissioner to the City of Oakland Human Relations Commission. Scaparotti also sits currently and has sat in the past on the Board of Directors for several community service organizations, including Lyon Martin Women’s Health Clinic, Gay/Lesbian Legal Referral Service, Institute for the Study of Sexual Assault, The Children’s Self-Help Project, and Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom. A dynamic speaker, Linda M. Scaparotti gives legal seminars, workshops, and speeches on sexual abuse and medical/legal ethics.

Additionally, Scaparotti is a member of numerous legal organizations that focus on client advocacy, especially for the under represented. These legal organizations include American Trial Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, Women’s Caucus of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, California Women Attorneys, Alameda and Contra Costa County Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association, and Queen’s Bench.

In her spare time, Linda M. Scaparotti is a self-described “tennis fanatic.” She also performs in theater productions out of several venues, including the Mendocino Performing Arts Co. and Sharktooth Productions. She co-parents her brilliant and beautiful twin niece and nephew.
